Shotcrete with mesh reinforcements and steel or polypropylene fibers
The most commonly used method to protect natural or constructed slopes to prevent deterioration such as erosion or landslides caused by the environment is shotcrete, according to project specifications.
Generally, welded or triple-twisted meshes anchored to the ground with reinforcing bars are used to increase the concrete's capacity and minimize cracking. The anchors are not tensioned and are known as passive anchors.

Drilling and Anchoring with Reinforcing Steel and Cables
When the project specifies slope stabilization through the geotechnical study, anchor reinforcement using steel and cables will be required to tension the anchors by installing steel plates or reinforced footings to receive the tension.
The specifications will indicate the diameters and depths of the drilling to be executed with special personnel and equipment for slopes. Finally, if specified, the slope surface will be covered with mesh and concrete shotcrete that will be attached to the anchor.

Tensioning of Rebars and Cables
Depending on the project's needs, the bars and cables will be tensioned to achieve the specified working tensions. The anchors will operate at a specific tension, known as active anchors.
Borehole Grouting
The purpose of injecting cement grout into the borehole is to ensure that the anchor is encapsulated in the grout and forms a bulb that works with the ground to support the specified loads.
The grouting and injection equipment used is required to operate at the specified design pressures.
